Could these other factors be making my period late?

I've been on birth control for five months, never had a problem with my cycle on it or before it. This month I missed a pill by 3 hrs and was advised to take two "just in case" so I did. I stopped this pack on Sunday and expected to start Tuesday. However on Monday I was injured in a car accident so lots of injuries and stress etc. and I was wondering if the additional pill or the accident could be delaying it or if I'm just wishful thinking?
