How do minor earth tremors affect deep space observation from Earth?

If the Earth is constantly subject to slight seismic vibrations, are these dampened out or compensated for in some way? I imagine minor vibrations affecting earthbound telescopes would make clear pictures in deep space very difficult to achieve.
